Courageous Steps for Parkinson's

Small Steps - Huge Strides

What is Courageous Steps for Parkinson's?

Courageous Steps for Parkinson’s is a 501(c)(3), local non-profit organization based in Brecksville, Ohio, just south of Cleveland. The organization is comprised of members who have all been touched by PD. We are a group that is willing to take the small steps that have and will continue to result in huge strides. CSFP has only one event a year, the step-a-thon. We welcome new volunteers and Parkinson Figthers that are willing to make a difference in this PD cause.

When was CSFP founded?

Courageous Steps for Parkinson's was founded in October 2005. CSFP was found on the love of family, but  hope to help all those who battle against the disease. Since our beginnings, we have raised over $30,000 for PD research.

Where has CSFP donated raised funds?

95% of the funds that CSFP has raised in the past have been donated to several Parkinson Fighting teams. CSFP has donated mainly to the University Hospitals Neurological Institute. However, recipients include:

  • The National Parkinson Foundation
  • The Ohio Parkinson Foundation Northeast Region
  • The Ohio State University Foundation
  • Parma Hospital's Parkinson Support Group
  • Walk for Mary

What is CSFP mission?

Our goal is to raise awareness of this disease and much needed funding for research to hopefully find a cure.  We hope to help improve the quality of life of those affected with PD.
